New Girl (Blaise and Nix Drabble #1)

A girl in Slytherin robes wandered through the halls. She entered the potions classroom. All eyes were on her. She approached Snape's desk. "You are over 10 minutes late", Professor Snape said. "I'm sorry. I only arrived this morning and then I got lost", the girl said, "I have a note from Dumbledor". As she struggled to pull the note out, all her books fell out of her bag. She blushed and bent down to pick up her books. Everyone laughed. She found the note and sheepishly smiled at Snape. He looked down at her less than amused. She stood up and handed him the note. "Miss...Davenheart. Take a seat by Mr. Zabini", Snape said. Blaise raised his hand and the girl sat next to him. "I'm Blaise", he said. "Pheonix, but please call me Nix", the girl said. "That's an interesting nickname, almost as interesting as Lux", Blaise said. "Who's Lux?" Nix asked. Blaise pointed to Draco and Lux. "Lux is Draco's girlfriend", Blaise said, "Hogwarts royalty". "Royalty?" Nix asked. "Everyone knows who Draco and Lux are. By lunch time, you'll be the talk of the school", Blaise told her. "Great", she said.
